✘ here be monsters again
![]() These guys are kind of a combination of things: Murphy bound by the shackles of his guilt, as well as his drinking problem. They also like to trick you into a false sense of security from a distance, seemingly pathetic and inept at first, before they go deadly. They have a rust-colored surface and appear to be in constant pain. In spite of this, these guys seem to really like Murphy and follow him wherever he goes. By "like", I actually mean they enjoy trying to shank the shit out of him and puke acid on his face. Weaknesses: Stealthy these guys are not. They announce their presence by the sound of their jingling chains. Even when they attempt to trick you, that should definitely give them away. Strengths: However, the sounds they can also make resemble another person from a distance. The closer they get, the more distorted and monstrous their "voices" become. It might be a good idea to keep a distance, because guess what? It has a nasty scrambling slash attack, and it also vomits acid. Yummy. art by ![]() |
![]() Flirts are basically a variation of the Dolls. Flirts, however, don't remain stationary while waiting for you to attack them. Instead, they appear to attack in threes -- but in truth, there is only one. Two act as mirages, distractions from the real monster that will come and just start clawing and beating the shit out of you. Similar to the Dolls, the Flirts have a cloaking ability, which can be sought using a UV light. Unlike the Dolls, the real Flirt can hide herself, while the other two act as a decoy. So yeah, have fun with that. Weaknesses: UV light when she's invisible. The mirages also can't hurt you; they just serve to distract you. The real one, however, can be hurt, and once she's down, they all go down. Strengths: Invisibility. A Flirt will hide herself and creep around you while the other two taunt you. This can be really annoying, especially since she's got some pretty sharp nails that she loves sinking into you. |
![]() SHIIIIIT. Weaknesses: FUUUUCCCKKKK. Strengths: DAAAAAAAMN. art by じょまり @ pixiv |
![]() TAKE OUT THE TRAAAAASH. Weaknesses: COMBOVERS. Strengths: NAGGING AND DIVORCE PAPERS. |
![]() ![]() DON'T BLINK. Weaknesses: I'M NOT EVEN A DOCTOR WHO FAN. Strengths: I JUST THINK THE ANGELS ARE AWESOME. |

![]() As Murphy attempts to elude from the inevitable, the Judge is an endearing force that won't stop until it feels like justice is served. While the Bogeyman was a proprietorial symbol of fear, the Judge is a creature of vengeance and the inevitable. Following Murphy, one might discover a trail etched into the surface of the ground; what remains of a sharp blade dragging across the concrete surface. Wielding a sharp knife, the Judge comes for your head. But it seems to have taken a particular one-track mind for Murphy... Weaknesses: It physically relies on the knife as its main weapon. Otherwise, it doesn't pack a very strong punch (which means that it'll be more partial to just grabbing your neck and giving it a good old snap instead). Strengths: Here comes the chopper to chop off your head. More helpfully, the Judge is swift. It drags itself across the ground with a gravity-defying effort on needle-legs. With enough sharpness and oomph to cut holes into solid walls, it uses that blade well. One thing to note about the knife, though: If you get cut, you won't bleed, but what happens is worse. It's blade literally rips a hole through reality, rendering it to nothing. If you're hurt, your wound will be replaced by a nasty black hole that's going to take a little more than some band-aids and gauze to fix up. The Judge basically takes over the roles as the Bogeyman and the Void, in that it's symbolic of Murphy's greatest fear, and will continue to chase him relentlessly through the Otherworlds. |
![]() The sentence is unanimous. You are guilty. When the cycle repeats itself, Murphy loses his humanity and becomes the Repeater. He will attack mindlessly and lash out at anyone and anything in a devastating rage. While his humanity still remains, it's going to take a little digging and a lot more "mind over matter" in order to overcome his inner monster once again. Weaknesses: Bulleeeeeeets. Oh and he's also slow as fuck. Just wail on him and you're good. Strengths: Inhuman strength. He can also throw down his hammer-arm in order to create a shockwave blast as a long-ranged attack, capable of wrecking through floors and walls. |
SILENT HILL PLOT TIMELINE
- Manly Murphy Monster Encounters
OUTLINE
- It starts off as just a pleasant day in the neighborhood! Murphy will begin to notice that something is off when the haze starts coming through; colors will become washed out. It becomes even more obvious when the hallways start stretching out right in front of him.
- Eventually, he will find himself being chased by a Shiver, and proceed to engage in a chase scene. He'll try to make it for the lift, but wind up falling down a slope instead.
- During the fall, he will catch glimpses of other characters' Otherworlds through windows all around him.
- Shit goes dark, and he winds up flying on top of a person. YOU DECIDE WHO IT IS OH BOY.
- At some point during this encounter, Murphy will witness the Judge making an appearance (though no other character will be able to see it).
Note: As per usual Silent Hill fashion, it likes to remind Murphy that he's alone. Which means that, even when he finds someone, it's going to pull him away at some point. So character encounters can happen at this point, but keep in mind that somewhere down the line, they'll get separated.
September 27
- Confrontation with the Defiled.
- Going to bump into some Anne Cunninghams for some Otherworld shenanigans during this as well.
September 28
- Shenanigans in Alex Shepherd's Otherworld.
- Which will include some Robbie the Rabbit bullshit and yadda yadda yadda before Alex gets himself sucked into the ground.
- This will leave Murphy alone again, where he will then wind up at his old house. Here, he will have to face some unresolved issues that he has with his wife.
- In the house, he will mostly be confronted with Screamers and Angels.
- At the end, he will have a final encounter with the Judge. It was basically be a one-on-one confrontation between himself and his own demon (symbolic for his guilt). Afterwards, everything starts to change, and he blanks out.
- When he wakes up, he'll wind up in a prison cell that might suspiciously be the Brig, with blood on his hands.
- Suspiciously, he will be stuck wearing a prisoner jumpsuit.
September 29
- Murphy starts having full circle-esque nightmares. Also? He's still stuck in a prison cell. Irene Adler may or may not be one to help a bro out?
- He's basically re-experiencing the terrible things of solitary confinement, so when he comes out, he won't exactly be in the greatest frame of mind.
September 30
- Shenanigans in Nepeta's Otherworld.
- He will at least be trying to stick with her for awhile.
- They will part eventually for Murphy to wander off into a prison-like area. There will be a mesh of various other characters' Otherworlds here, as well as his own.
October 1
- A "catalyst" will happen, and Murphy is going to change. He will be spending time in Heather's Nowhere.
- A thread will go up for encounters with Murphy as the Repeater in Nowhere, since he's technically going to be a resident Nowhere attraction at this point. Basically what I got planned so far is:
October 2
- Someone's got to beat some sense into Murphy until he goes back to normal. This will be continued from the thread above.
- Ideally, that someone will probably be Anne Cunningham, but we'll see.
October 3
- While he's still attempting to regain his senses after being a monster, Murphy will end up back at Alex Shepherd's Otherworld and save that dumbass kid from drowning.
Potential Slots For: Loki, Ned, Alex Shepherd, Anne Cunningham, Henry Townshend.
